Some weeks remind you why you do what you do. This was one of them.

We’re honored to share that Staycation Fiberglass Pools brought home several 2026 Summit Awards from GSABA, along with the Grand Award. It’s a genuinely humbling honor, one we didn’t see coming. However, if we’re being honest, the trophies aren’t really what stuck with us this week. It’s the people behind them, our team, our customers, and this community we get to build in.

Why “Associate of the Year” Hits Different

Associate of the Year isn’t about a single pool, a clever ad, or one lucky campaign that happened to land. It’s bigger than that. This Grand Award is a nod to the everyday work as swimming pool builders that rarely makes it into a highlight reel: the early-morning site visits, the late-night phone calls, walking a homeowner through excavation timelines, the hundred small decisions that quietly add up to trust.

It reflects how we show up in the San Antonio building community. Not just once but day after day.

When we started Staycation Fiberglass Pools, the goal was never just to install pools and move on to the next job. We wanted to build something people could actually count on, a company that treats a backyard renovation the way it should be treated: as a big, personal, sometimes nerve-wracking decision.

The Real Award Is the Trust

None of this happens without the people who trust us. Every pool we build starts with a family who said yes to us, who let us into their backyard, their budget, and their vision for lazy Sunday afternoons and summer nights with the kids splashing until the porch lights come on.

That trust is the real award. GSABA just gave us a nice way to say thank you for it, out loud, in front of the whole community.
