There’s nothing quite like the buzz of a home show: the smell of fresh coffee drifting past booths, families comparing notes on backsplash tiles one aisle over, and people picturing their own dream backyard as they wander.
This year’s San Antonio Home + Garden Show Summer Edition brought all of that energy to the Alamodome, and we got to spend three days right in the thick of it, doing what we love most: talking pools with people who are genuinely excited about their next big project.

We went big on purpose. A 40-foot-by-30-foot setup gave us the room to actually show people what a fiberglass pool looks like in person, not just describe it. There’s only so much a photo can do, and standing next to the real thing tends to close the gap between “maybe someday” and “let’s talk numbers.”
Front and center was the Malibu, one of our most popular fiberglass designs, paired with the Summer Bash Specials we were running exclusively for show attendees. Seeing a pool at full scale, right there on the show floor, gave a lot of people their first real sense of what one could actually look like in their own yard.
More than we expected, honestly.
We used the weekend to celebrate some big news: Staycation Fiberglass Pools landed on Pool & Spa News’ 2026 Top 50 Builders list, a list that recognizes the best swimming pool builders and other top names from across the country.
Getting to share that milestone with the community that helped us earn it made the recognition feel a lot more personal than a headline on a list.
We also ran a Spin-to-Win wheel that turned out to be one of the highlights of the whole show. More than 50 people gave it a spin, and a good number of them walked away having scheduled an actual appointment with our team on the spot.
On top of that, we sat down with the Texas Builds podcast during the show to talk fiberglass pools, the San Antonio market, and what we’ve got coming next. Worth a listen if you want the behind-the-scenes version of who we are beyond the booth.
Strong and steady, all three days. People stopped to ask real questions like how fiberglass holds up compared to gunite, what maintenance actually looks like, what our specials covered, and stuck around long enough to have an actual conversation.
It was just the kind of turnout that reminds you why San Antonio pool builders still show up to these events in person, year after year.
The sense of a booth that stayed busy from open to close might be the best kind of feedback there is.
Home shows are a little chaotic by nature. Everyone’s there for a different reason: new flooring, a kitchen remodel, a backyard fire pit, or in our world, the pool they’ve been picturing all summer. But for three days, we got to put a real pool in front of real San Antonio homeowners and just talk. No hard sell, just conversations. Fifty-plus people choosing to book an appointment after a quick spin of a wheel says something about how those conversations landed.
